The High Court heard that investors who gave hundreds of thousands of euros to a Christmas tree planting enterprise fear they were defrauded. Following queries on behalf of several investors, Mr Justice Michael Quinn heard that places, where Christmas trees were meant to be planted, had no trees, and WFS had no interest in the lands concerned. Mr Kearney’s counsel, instructed by Peter Boyle & Co Solicitors, said the alleged issues bringing rise to the application are “significant” and there is a public interest in appointing an inspector.
